I came up with this PHRASE that I thought would go GREAT on a t-shirt. I was talking with this guy named Graham who helped me design it. I didn't know anything about t-shirts, plus this was for a FUTURE purpose to go with a FUTURE book. You see, I keep a Vision Binder with over 40
BOOK ideas in it. In the ORDER that I had PLANNED to publish the books, this one particular book was going to be my 7th book. During this time, I hadn't even published my FIRST one yet. I had my FIRST book already WRITTEN, however, I didn't have the MONEY to pay for the book LAUNCH. Of course, I didn't let that STOP me from moving FORWARD. I just TRUSTED God to make a WAY.
Nevertheless, the 7th BOOK that I had planned to write was called, "Whatever devil!".
So, after me and Graham DESIGNED the "Whatever devil!" shirt, I STORED it away for FUTURE use.
If you read my LAST Newsletter, I shared the STORY about me being in the HOSPITAL for 4 days with FLUID around my heart and lungs. I thought I was going to die in the hospital, but I DECLARED,
"Whatever devil!" and I LEANED on God.
When I got HOME from the hospital, I made a Facebook POST that read, "Sometimes you just have to say, 'Whatever devil!'" I got so many "LIKES" and "SHARES" that I created a "Whatever devil!" Facebook page. When I created the PAGE, I needed
a POSTER or FLYER that said, "Whatever devil!", so I could use as the profile picture. The only thing I had during this time was that mock t-shirt DESIGN that me and Graham made. The only problem with using that was I didn't have the physical SHIRT. In other words, I didn't want people to see this t-shirt design, then REQUEST for the shirt, because I wasn't going to FOCUS on the t-shirt part until I published my 7th book, "Whatever devil!".
So, I came up with this brilliant idea of trying to CROP the shirt while thinking, "Maybe they can't tell it's a SHIRT." So that's what I did. A THOUSAND people joined this Facebook page in the FIRST week. And sure enough, they could TELL that the profile picture was a shirt. Someone commented, "How can I get this SHIRT?" I responded, "Oh, it's not available right now..." Another person commented, "That shirt is DOPE! Where do I order
it?"
I responded to that person...
And then another person...
And then another person...
I got so many INQUIRIES, eventually I just said, "The shirt will be READY next month!" Now I didn't KNOW anything about creating a t-shirt, but the DEMAND caused me to push my FUTURE idea up to NOW.
Little did I know, this was part of God's PLAN. As I shared this with my friends, one of them said, "There's a guy across the street from my job who makes t-shirts." So, I contacted him, printed the shirts, and sold them ONLINE. I sold out, got more shirts, and sold out AGAIN. Like I mentioned earlier, little did I know, this would be my
ANSWER to getting the MONEY that I needed to publish my FIRST book, "Life in Righteousness: The Word is Your Life".
